Riders to race and train with new Giant eyewear including the Aurea and Lumea models throughout the 2026 season

Giant announced today that it is expanding its partnership with Team Jayco AlUla, stepping up as the UCI WorldTour team’s official eyewear sponsor starting this year. This collaboration brings Giant’s advanced sunglass technology to the team’s world-class athletes, giving them exceptional visual clarity and comfort for the most demanding racing conditions.

“Adding sunglasses to the products we supply to Team Jayco AlUla reinforces our commitment to supporting elite athletes with equipment for speed, protection and performance,” said Giant Group Global Marketing Director An Le. “We’re excited to see our eyewear play a role in every race moment this season, and we’re confident the riders will benefit from our latest innovations.”

Every Team Jayco AlUla rider will have multiple sunglass models to choose from including the Aurea and Lumea for training and racing and the lifestyle-focused Yuma. The Aurea features Zeiss lenses for crystal-clear optics and reliable impact performance, while the Lumea offers a choice of Giant’s FotoVis, PolarVis or VividVis lens technology.

“Reliable eyewear in all conditions is essential, and Giant delivers exactly that,” said GreenEDGE Cycling General Manager Brent Copeland. “After testing, riders immediately felt comfortable with the fit, light weight and lens quality. The Zeiss lenses are truly impressive.”

Among the riders testing the new eyewear models is Australian Michael Matthews, who has 10 grand tour stage wins to his name. “I’ve already ridden with the Giant Aurea and Lumea and they have an incredible fit,” Matthews said. “You barely feel them on your face, which is important so we can fully focus on performance. I’m really looking forward to racing with them.”

This partnership will see Giant sunglasses featured across all international competitions, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation, performance and winning at the highest levels of cycling.
